Meet Our Pastor

Rev. H. Wayne Colbert, is a native of Louisville Kentucky, born to the late Dr. Rev. Herman Colbert and Mary Colbert. He is the eighth child of eleven siblings.

Rev. H. Wayne Colbert earned his education in the Jefferson County Public School and continued his studies at Simmons Bible College, Boyce Bible College and earned a Bachelor of Theology degree at Liberty University.

Rev. H. Wayne Colbert, is married to the former Kimberly L. Morris. To this union they have four lovely children [Brandi, Damon, J’Keeta and Jermaine] and twelve grandchildren. Rev. Colbert, is a dedicated family man who make room for quality time with them all.

Rev. H.W. Colbert is the 2nd generation pastor, where has served 26 years as Senior Pastor of the Kingdom Land Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Rev. Colbert answered the call to lead and feed God’s people according to the Word of God.

Rev. H.W. Colbert is not ashamed to let you know that Kingdom Land Baptist Church is where “The Spirit of God is Embraced, Love is Felt and Lives are Changed.” The KLBC has experience enormous spiritual growth under his pastorate and has implemented a variety of ministries for the community. Kingdom Land’s ministries equip the saints for evangelistic outreach to the unsaved through fervent prayer, discipleship training, and through the preaching of the Gospel.

Rev. H.W. Colbert is a visionary “Man of God.” Who has a love for people and a servant’s heart for the mission’s work God has given him. The awesome task of bringing the lost to Jesus Christ and ministering to their needs. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Colbert and the KLBC family is spreading the Gospel message by meeting practical needs of people. Such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, helping the poor in the community. As well as providing shelter for the homeless through The Women of Worth [W.O.W.] Transitional House, including recent released parolees.

Rev. H.W. Colbert is leading his congregation into revitalizing communities by building better families through practical education. We sponsor Married and Singles Conferences, Marriage Retreat, Youth Destined for Greatest Ball (D4G). He has been afforded opportunities to preach and teach at the American National Baptist Convention, Christians Institutes and the J.L. Roberts School of Religion. He is a highly sought after speaker for Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, and Revivals, etc… He has served on LMPD Internal Merit Board and received various awards including the Metro Council, Community Leadership Award. Rev. H. Wayne Colbert is the Co-Author of the book, “Make It Last Forever”.

Rev. H.W. Colbert is a man of integrity, passion and compassion who consistently strives to be ready for life’s seasons. His life is seen by many as one driven by the Word and Will of God, with the love and Spirit of God toward all mankind.
